You may be wondering why this page exists.
Every day, I get DMs constantly asking about SBE.
If you DM me asking for help, I will expect some of the following:
- any issues you may be having
- what kind of responses you are getting (i.e. bot messages)
- anything you have tried in order to resolve these issues
- examples of why you think the issues may be happening and potentially what you could try out instead
- explanations of why you think i will be able to help you
If you do not, I will block you.
I understand that this is a paid mod, and feeling like you've been scammed out of 5 dollars (especially if you're younger) is very shit. However, I have my own things to be doing, however stupid or random they may be. If you want my time, I will expect that you put in at least some amount of time into the help you want.
And most importantly, I'm not SBE staff, so the 5th bullet point in that list above ("explanations of why you think i will be able to help you") is a very important bullet point. I will expect this one in particular to be answered.
At the end of the day, I don't want to be roped into feeling like shit because I can't help someone, and I don't think you want to DM me hoping for help, realising I can't help you. This is a loss-loss for both of us.

Clue Scroll Related
Rules:
- Players can reroll at any time, but may only do so a maximum of once.
--- Players may reroll twice at the cost of receiving a 9th clue step.
- Players who complete or abandon a scroll (except in certain cases) cannot request another - unless they forfeit the reward. This is managed per-account, not per-person.
--- Exception: If you enter a new bracket for bonds, you can do a scroll to get extra bonds. This would only give you bonds such that your cumulative reward is equal to your boundary's bond reward.
- You can use skill boosts, but you are not allowed to skill boost using stews (e.g. Kovac's Grog would be allowed).
- Sometimes, wording of certain clue scrolls may be poor or inconsistencies may come up, which may be modified in the future. As a result, blurred steps during the themes being revealed may not reflect the 'exactness' of the step when you receive it.
- Loopholes are not accepted, regardless of type or extent.
- You should ideally record all steps. If you don't, it's up to you (not me) to prove that your proof is legitimate. If it doesn't look legitimate, it's up to you to fix that.
- Clue Scrolls do not have a time limit, but you are expected to make progress in a timely manner. If it seems that you aren't going to make progress towards your next step, your clue may be closed prematurely.
--- It is assumed that you play regularly. Do not request clue scrolls if you are an inactive player.
- It shouldn't have to be said, but I don't like cringe people. If you look cringe based on your Discord profile, I will keep that in mind.
It is not up to me to update you on rule changes or existing rules. It's up to you to ask about them. You would know if you read the link in my status.
